Editing and putting the whole thing together
It was now one of the final steps in producing my music video, editing. I was excited to start editing and video and give it the zest that it needed. To start off with editing I opened the editing app that I used for my commercial. I found that using this app for editing was useful, and easy to use, not giving me any problems when editing. So after opening the app I opened a new project and started to put all the clips together. Before adding the clips I inserted the music first and cut it to the length on how long its supposed to be. I chose the clips that would fit in the video and work with how the video would run when I played it, and inserted them into the app. At first I would insert one clip and then edit it to match the music beat so it would play in sync. I added to clips randomly so they were edited random until I got the clips that supposed to go before and after it. I decided to insert the rest of the clips at once so I could see better if the clips played longer than the music. It ended up being too much, so I trimmed down each of the clips, but not to much. After it started to align I played the video again to see how the video might turned out, and then I noticed the background noise. I realized each clip has its own sound from the fair, and considered leaving it in to add some affect. I decided against leaving it in and took out the sound by detaching the audio. After detaching the audio I would delete it and repeated this process for all the clips. After that I just worked on polishing the video so it would run through smoothly. I have run into an issue with the video, two of the clips are cut short. One clip would end then go to the next without a good transition, messing up the effect it was supposed to give to watchers. Another clip is too long, and while I can trim it, trimming it will cause the whole video be be to short of the sound. I also have to take out some inconsistencies in the video with a person blocking the view, or blurry lights. I'm going to ask my friend for advice and see if she would be willing to give me some advice. I'm asking her because she has more experience in editing, because she was in an editing class for three years. Other than the messy clips, everything else seems like its in order, and the video looked good. I believe its almost ready just needs a little more touch up then I'm done. I hope everyone enjoyed this blog and has a wonderful day.
