Finally filiming

Image
After many issues and delays, we were finally able to film today. On Tuesday, we decided that we had to film the next day cause it was then or never. After deciding, we made a time when we would meet at Taylor's house, where we would film. I prepared the night before but bring my own set of props and extra marshmallows in case we run out while filming. Once everything was organized I went to sleep with my outfit for the shooting ready and prepared. When I woke up the next morning the first thing I did was pack my bags and then have an extract back with my change of clothes and props. I went to school and the usual happened, nothing special to report. School ended and instead of taking the bus like I usually do, my dad came and picked me up from school So I could immediately start filming instead of taking the bus all the way home, and having to drive all the way back the fort Lauderdale. Once we all got to the filming location, Taylor's house, we immediately started filming. T

Editing choices

Image
While waiting to film I have looked at different editing videos to look at the different programs. As I said in my last blog I've decided to change editing programs. so far some programs I have looked at are adobe, Canva video editor, and Kdenlive. After watching a YouTuber who recommends these free editing programs, I have decided to look more into Canva video editor and Kdenlive. It was said that those two are great editing softwares, and they don't include a watermark. For Canva video editor is completely online so it dosen't need to be downloaded. This would be good for my laptop as I don't want any app that might take up to much storage and overload my computer. Canva video editor gives you all different types of word fonts, transitions, and animations aside from just the basics. The downside of this app is that it only can do simple videos, and I need one that could make complex videos. Canva video editor is more for people who are beginners and are just starting

filming once again cancled

Unfortunately, we weren't able to film again today. My group might not be able to film until after spring break which I'm upset about because I wanted to finish before spring break. Even though I cant film I still message my group about how we will film and what we are going to do. I know for sure what props we are going to bring and I'm I know who will bring them. I'm also going to bring backups in case they are forgotten or if it is broken. We need to decide the next day when we can film, the only days that I can film is on Saturdays and even then I might be busy. I know that we have to film weeks before the due date so that we have enough time to edit and refilm if needed. All we have to do is get our schedules on the same date. I was speaking of editing before, but I think I need to get a new editing program. The editing program that I currently have works great but I think I should get a more advanced one. I've been looking into them and the really good ones co

Time to get our Prop on

Image
Props are something that's definitely needed for the opening sequence. In the opening sequence, there have already been props mentioned that we have to use. Some props needed are the marshmallows that are in the first scene along with the sticks holding them. This is an important prop for the first scene as it sets the scene for a calm evening of just friends hanging out. It won't be hard to get these things as they most likely sell them in Publix, both the marshmallow and the stick holding it. After looking through the script I couldn't find any obvious props but there were some that could be added even though not directly in the script. Some props that could be discreetly added is a blanket when they are around the fireplace, usually at night temperature drops so it would make sense and the blanket would help the cozy atmosphere. Another prop that could be added is some objects like bags, phones, and headphones when they are leaving. When people are leaving or going plac

filming been complicated

so far, we haven't gotten to film anything yet for our project. we had a plan to film this Saturday but everyone became busy with work, school, and sports so we had to cancel. we have spoken more about props and timing but it's been complicated. I'm in the band and lately, we've been having a lot of performances to play at due to it being march. This entire week, other than Thursday, I've been in the band whether it be symphonic or marching. Ive of course been focusing and keeping up on the times and dates of when the project is due but it is getting complicated. people in my group get busy with stuff on the weekend and we're busy with school on the weekdays so it's been hard to find an opportunity for when we can film. we're all trying to be free next week Thursday, which is an early release day. It's the last day that we're all free before spring break, which is when we want to get the filming done. after spring break everyone will become supe

Our music

Image
when planning out our project my group had to decide what music to use. When deciding, instead of using popular songs, we decided to use public domain music. We put a lot of thought when making this decision and if to do it or not, which was hard. We all agreed that if we were to use a popular song then we would have to message the company and ask for permission to use the song. It could be too late by the time they read that email and we would most likely be done with the video and turn it in. There's no way for sure if we could use the music if we wanted to because what if we put the music in our music video, and the company says no. What are we supposed to do if we do get permission and it turns out the song doesn't fit at all, then we just wasted a whole lot of time. I don't want to risk any of those possibilities happening and ruining our video. The best choice really is domain because we have more options in what to do. With a domain, we won't have to worry about
