The sweet, sweet tunes of music

Hello, my name is Cecelia and welcome back to my blog where I tell you, the reader, about what my group and I are doing for our short film. Like most people in the world, I love music, so much so that I am in fact in symphonic band. Music is supposed generate joy and be a form of art so artist can make you feel emotions you never thought you would have.  A slow song tends to make people feel reminiscent or sad, while a fast song makes people feel energized and powerful. This week we are choosing what music we want to put in are film and how we want to use and play it. I personally want to use copyright free music since it's easier to access and can be used without needing permission. While there are many songs that can be used and would be able to fit in the movie, it would take too long to get the permission for its use, and we can't be sure we would get it. Now with copyright free music we wouldn't need to worry about jumping through all the hopes to get it. All we would need to do with non-copyright music is find the song on YouTube and download it with free use. While I would prefer using music, Zahra had a much better idea that would help with the movie's ambiance. For the short film, instead of using music, we would have no music playing and have more background noises playing to make it seem as if it's really in a park and more focus can be on the dialogue. It would really help how the film feels and instead of finding the right song which would fit the movie, we could focus on the feeling of it. Since the movie is supposed the be dramatic the lack of sound can give an eerie effect and can slowly make the viewer wonder what is going on. While, at some point in the short film, I would like some music to add some kind of flair, I understand how no music would have much more of an impact. I enjoyed discussing this with the group as we all had our own opinions on the music of the short film and what would work better. Ultimately Zahra's idea was the best and would work if what we want for the short film and could give us the vibe we are going for. The short film is coming along very nicely we have our filming location, actors, and we now even know what we want for the audio of the film. I am super excited for when we can start filming again and how we are going to edit the film and do everything. My group and I have a lot of ideas and planning to do for the future, and we can't wait to do everything.  I hope you enjoyed reading this and I hope you have a wonderful day and thank you for reading.

 Props- In my music video, props will include microphones, fake angel wings, a backpack, picnic basket, blanket, phone, and headphones. I'm not complete sure if I want food to be included in this video and if I might have to add other props Costumes- In the music video there will be a white dress, with white heals. there will also be another costume wear its just jeans and a shirt with a jacket. Everyone else would be wearing there regular clothing regardless of the scene and will have one main person. they will be wearing all white, as per the dress and depending on the person it will change but will stay all white. The only hats worn will be worn by other background people. The main person will not be wearing a hat or covering of the head of any kind.  Schedule- 11/20/2021- I will be on a trip in Orlando so will try to film some shots of places I will be at 11/21/2021- I will still be on a trip except I'll be at universal studios so I will film myself at the park with friend...

Hello I'm Cecelia Torrez, and I'm excited to share my experience through my final project in my media studies class. I'm excited share my project with the readers of my blog, but first I want to give background about my self and what's been going on in my life. First off, my grades have gotten really good and I have been more responsible. I believe that I have become more responsible due to keeping a schedule more often of my plans for the week. The beginning of the year I made it my resolution to become more responsible for the year so that I could be better, and improve myself. So far, I have been following through and I have become more responsible. I'm hoping the by the end of the year I would have made major life improvements. I've gotten back into my art, which I love, and I am trying to hone my craft so that maybe it becomes a side business to my main job in the future. Editing our movie

Hello, my name is Cecelia, and this is my blog where I talk about me and my groups short film and what we have been up to lately. It's been a stressful week and I've finally had the opportunity to start editing the short film. The play was a success Friday night, and I got just enough sleep to wake up early in the morning and start editing before I had to do the play at night. When I started editing, I went through my notebook for all the notes I made and started editing. I went through each clip and decided how I wanted to edit the entire scenes together. I wanted to make it go smoothly together, but that took many times because I couldn't find a good transition between scenes without any awkward pauses. I then had to make sure the audio matched up and that it wouldn't have any bits where there was pure silence. While the scenes were great, there were a few changes I had to make.
