Working out the kinks: editing
Hello, my name is Cecelia and you're reading a blog about what me and my group are doing for our short film. Today I'm going to be talking about editing and my experience trying to find the perfect editing website for me and my groups short film. So, to start off I wanted to find an editing software that my whole entire group can use since we each are going to edit a part of the film. Not everyone in my group uses the same brand so I had to find one that was on all platforms for free, like the last software I used. I couldn't find the software I used for my last film because it was on my old laptop that is broken. I had to get a completely new laptop and I lost all the information I had on my old laptop. To start off I went on google and looked up free software editing apps that could be used on all platforms, then went to YouTube and looked up professional editors and what they would recommend using for editing. After finding all the best recommendations and going through each of the apps I made a list of the best editing software that my group could use. After doing that I discussed with my group what we want on the editing software and what we would want to be able to do on it. We all agreed on aspects that are needed in the software, for example, no watermark, the ability to add music, and for us to share the video. With all these we each went off on us on to look for editing software, I already did so. I instead went through each software to see what it could do, and I was impressed, they all worked well, and I thought that each could be great for editing the short film. I ranked each from top to bottom and those were the ones I was going to show my group as we spoke about which editing site to use. When we all got together again, we discussed which websites can be used. Charlie, Zahra, and I found really good software's we could use and finally picked one. The software we picked is accessible to all of us, it won't leave a watermark, and we can share the edits we made with each other. We've decided to use an editing software called cap cut, which I have used before. It's an easy-to-use editing software, all of us can access it, and it seems like we could have fun with it. I'm excited to see how were going to import the videos and what we are going to do when editing it. Now all that's left to do is film and edit all the videos together. We should be filming soon as we've decided to do it this weekend so hopefully, we can do it all in one day. I'm really happy with how the short film has come along, and how it will turn out in the future. Once this short film is done imp sure everyone will love and enjoy it, with the dramatic tension. I hope that my blog was fun to read, and I hope everyone who reads this has a lovely day.
