Editing

 Today was the day that we once again edit our opening sequence. When we finally filmed our video the other day we had to remember to edit the video. Once we finished editing we made sure to have someone else review it. Now that we have their feedback we knew what we had to edit once again so that we could have the proper opening sequence. To start I decided I wanted to start again from scratch to have a whole new perspective. I still kept the original finale edit so that I had a reference and keep the order of the video so to keep it the same. Other than that it was almost a fresh start, other than the old video. The first thing I did was change the light to match the mood, you don't want positive lighting if it's for a mysterious opening. The next thing I did was add the transitions to how the movie was shot and which transition would fit the scene the best. Afterward, I got rid of any background noise in each scene, which wasn't hard because at the time it was a quiet night so I didn't have much trouble. I added the music that was originally in the other video and even looked at other songs just in case. As recommended I turned down the volume of the video so it doesn't overpower the lines that go with it. I made sure to go back and look at suggestions made so as to not mess up the opening sequence. In all honesty the video was the same as before except with more editing and changing just A few details. I didn't want to change to much as to describe the movie but still changes to be made. As for the scene with the alien we decided to go more of filming around. Taylor would just be there one minute and gone the next. It worked better cause we knew that animation was none of our forte and didn't want to mess up the opening sequence. While the alien might have looked cooler and been more alien movie like, there was always the possibility we would mess up. We don't want that so we made sure to focus on just Taylor going missing, rather than the alien itself. plus it seems to add more of a paranormal vibe as to what possibly could have happened to her and why she went missing. While it was a little complicated editing again, I still had a lot of fun. I also got to fix mistakes that I saw myself that nobody else spotted it. I'm really happy to how the editing ended and I cant wait to show my group. I hope you enjoyed reading my blog and have a wonderful day.

Hello I'm Cecelia Torrez, and I'm excited to share my experience through my final project in my media studies class. I'm excited share my project with the readers of my blog, but first I want to give background about my self and what's been going on in my life. First off, my grades have gotten really good and I have been more responsible. I believe that I have become more responsible due to keeping a schedule more often of my plans for the week. The beginning of the year I made it my resolution to become more responsible for the year so that I could be better, and improve myself. Editing our movie

Hello, my name is Cecelia, and this is my blog where I talk about me and my groups short film and what we have been up to lately. It's been a stressful week and I've finally had the opportunity to start editing the short film. The play was a success Friday night, and I got just enough sleep to wake up early in the morning and start editing before I had to do the play at night. When I started editing, I went through my notebook for all the notes I made and started editing. I went through each clip and decided how I wanted to edit the entire scenes together. I wanted to make it go smoothly together, but that took many times because I couldn't find a good transition between scenes without any awkward pauses. I then had to make sure the audio matched up and that it wouldn't have any bits where there was pure silence. While the scenes were great, there were a few changes I had to make.
