Another year, but a new me

 Welcome back my fellow humans to my blog that speaks about the experience of media studies. This year is a fresh start and my junior year so its going to be an exciting and stressful year. For those of you who don't know me my name is Cecelia, I love being creative and enjoy being social. Some of my favorite hobbies are reading, painting, music, and watching anime, which who wouldn't enjoy. In fact, I recently started a new series because of how much people loved the trailer for it, It's called Percy Jackson. I know it's an old book and honestly probably targeted at a younger demographic, however, I can't help but be interested in reading it. So far I haven't gotten very far, and while I usually am a fast reader, I wanted to take my time with this book and really enjoy it. Let's shift attention away from my "obsession with books" and back to this new school year. This year I have become a junior, which I have previously mentioned, so It's going to be really hard from what I heard. I have to worry about SATs, passing all my classes, and being an awesome marching band member. Did I forget to mention I'm in the band, I play the alto sax, and this year a plan to work extra hard to help lead other new members in band. Last year I was a new member, so I know what it's like to be confused and nervous, I want to help the new kids the way my old section leader helped me. Without her help, I would be totally lost and confused about where to go and what to do. I'm just so glad that I get to be in marching band, while it is hard work, it's totally worth it. Something new about me that's different from last year is that I have joined theater. I have always been in love with the theater and enjoyed acting, so joining was a very obvious choice. I did theater a few years ago in elementary school which was so much fun as I was in the little mermaid and played one of the mer-sisters. In middle school, I had the chance again to be in theater but it got canceled as covid-19 hit and everything was shut down. However, it won't happen this time and I will finally get to be on stage again performing. In its entirety, I'm excited for this school year no matter how stressful it may seem. I hope everyone reading this blog enjoyed it as I enjoyed typing it, bye.

 Props- In my music video, props will include microphones, fake angel wings, a backpack, picnic basket, blanket, phone, and headphones. I'm not complete sure if I want food to be included in this video and if I might have to add other props Costumes- In the music video there will be a white dress, with white heals. there will also be another costume wear its just jeans and a shirt with a jacket. Everyone else would be wearing there regular clothing regardless of the scene and will have one main person. they will be wearing all white, as per the dress and depending on the person it will change but will stay all white. The only hats worn will be worn by other background people. The main person will not be wearing a hat or covering of the head of any kind.  Schedule- 11/20/2021- I will be on a trip in Orlando so will try to film some shots of places I will be at 11/21/2021- I will still be on a trip except I'll be at universal studios so I will film myself at the park with friend...

Guess whos back

Hello I'm Cecelia Torrez, and I'm excited to share my experience through my final project in my media studies class. I'm excited share my project with the readers of my blog, but first I want to give background about my self and what's been going on in my life. First off, my grades have gotten really good and I have been more responsible. I believe that I have become more responsible due to keeping a schedule more often of my plans for the week. The beginning of the year I made it my resolution to become more responsible for the year so that I could be better, and improve myself. So far, I have been following through and I have become more responsible. I'm hoping the by the end of the year I would have made major life improvements. I've gotten back into my art, which I love, and I am trying to hone my craft so that maybe it becomes a side business to my main job in the future. Editing our movie

Hello, my name is Cecelia, and this is my blog where I talk about me and my groups short film and what we have been up to lately. It's been a stressful week and I've finally had the opportunity to start editing the short film. The play was a success Friday night, and I got just enough sleep to wake up early in the morning and start editing before I had to do the play at night. When I started editing, I went through my notebook for all the notes I made and started editing. I went through each clip and decided how I wanted to edit the entire scenes together. I wanted to make it go smoothly together, but that took many times because I couldn't find a good transition between scenes without any awkward pauses. I then had to make sure the audio matched up and that it wouldn't have any bits where there was pure silence. While the scenes were great, there were a few changes I had to make.
